It’s been a year!

A whole year has passed since ‘Hayley Makes’ was born, so, what has happend in this time?
Well,
This year I have assisted with 4 Shows, The Full Monty, Bad Girls, Pirates of Penzance, and Le Cage Aux Folles, All with Brighton Theatre Group. A fith, Schools We Will Rock you, is coming up next week.
I have also been working with Masqurade Costumes in Brighton in thier warehouse alot, doing alterations.
I have made several items for various shows, including glittery hotpants and vests, and squirrel trousers and hoods!
Not counting the various bunting and cushions I have made on the side.

Soon I will be putting a sign up in my studio window advertising costume making to people (We live right by a school, so perfect for school plays ect) and hoping to write to a few more production houses for some work/ work experiance.

So, a busy year has passed, I hope to have an even busier one next year

March Update

Hi everyone, just a little update.
Been really busy lately, so there are a couple of new projects up on the website.
As I was in a festive mood over Christmas, I started on a pantomime dress, as that was set on a back burner while I was busy with orders, i’m now contuniung on it, and hopefully be finished soon.
The plan is to also do a craft show, so i’ve been working on a few bits and pieces for that.
Don’t forget you can find work in progress photo’s on our Facebook page, search for ‘Hayley Makes’.

Hey everyone

Hi everyone and thank you for the lovely comments.
I’m really sorry but i’m not making Mr Tumble dolls anymore as they are bringing out an official one next year, untill then I will try to find time to add a page on this website detailing how to make your own. They are really quite simple :)

Busy times!

In september I started a clothing alterations course, so now I can alter anything!

I have also in this time, contacted Brighton Film School who have put me in contact with Harveys Costumiers in Portslade where I am hoping to get some work experiance.
I am currently assisting Brighton Theater Group in thier production of the ‘Full Monty’ so I have been helping actors with thier costumes, and doing alterations as required. Next week (W/B 22nd Nov) we go live and I am very excited and proud to have worked with them.

Also I have been networking with ANYONE in the film or theater business in hope that I might get some work experiance or paid work. If anyone knows of any then send them my way please :)

I have now set up a Facebook business page to include my works in progress photos. Check it out here and keep upto date with all that is going on

Welcome to Hayley Makes

This is my new website, obviously there isn’t much here at the moment, but I shall be using it to display my work as a portfolio and also to trade a few of the bits i’ve made and basically give people an idea of what I can do.
Keep an eye on this site for regular updates.
